Dear Parents and Carers,
Hope this finds you all well. I’m sure it feels like a long time ago, but I hope you all had a lovely summer holiday. I have been in school a couple of times and it seems the children have settled in well into their new classes and routines. I’m sure that you are all probably learning a lot too!
For those that are new to the school, I wanted to introduce myself as Chair of Governors at Eling Infant School and Nursery. Mrs. Sillence and the team put huge efforts into ensuring the level of education and experience reflects our Outstanding Osted. The governors work behind the scenes to ensure that the school is delivering the best for your children in every way. I can assure you that you have made the best decision choosing Eling Infant School and Nursery for your child.
I am excited for you all being at the start of your journey and hope that you can immerse yourself in being a part of Team Eling. It is always encouraged that parents and carers take an active role in the school experience, and this brings the best outcomes for the children. Both of my children went to Eling and had a wonderful experience. I decided to stay on after they left as a governor so that I could still be a part of the school as I loved it that much. All of us governors do often come in to visit the school and spend time with the teachers and children. This is always the highlight of our visits.
The PTA is a wonderful way to get involved to meet other parents, be a part of it all and raise funds for the school to enrich the children’s experiences. They are grateful for any level of help that you can offer. They have some lovely ideas, and you may see me now and again helping out as well.
We find ourselves at half term already, so I wish you all a lovely break. Looking forward to another great year at Eling Infant School and Nursery.
Best wishes,
Wahida Warshow
